There’s a new way to reach one of Manatee County’s most popular beaches.
Coquina Beach has officially been added as the third stop on the Gulf Islands Ferry route, creating a water connection between:
- Downtown Bradenton
- Historic Bridge Street
- Coquina Beach
The new stop began service September 3 and will operate through Labor Day, giving residents and visitors another way to experience Anna Maria Island without making the entire trip by car.
The expanded route is also expected to help reduce vehicle traffic along the island while connecting downtown Bradenton more directly with the beaches and businesses around Bridge Street.
More than 55,000 passengers used the ferry service in 2025, and its newest vessel, the Manatee Belle, can accommodate more than 90 passengers with enclosed, climate-controlled seating.
It’s another lifestyle advantage that makes living in Manatee County so unique: downtown, waterfront destinations and Gulf beaches connected by boat.
Schedules, routes and fares are subject to change. Confirm current information with the Gulf Islands Ferry before traveling.
