Charley’s Steak House Eyes Lakewood Ranch!
One of Florida’s well-known steakhouses could be making its way to Lakewood Ranch!
According to November 5 reporting from Tampa Bay Business & Wealth, newly filed development plans identify Charley’s Steak House as the proposed restaurant for a 14,000-square-foot location at 6120 Exchange Way, near Interstate 75 and University Parkway.
The proposed development also reportedly includes a separate 4,000-square-foot bank building, although a bank tenant has not been identified.
For those unfamiliar with Charley’s, the upscale steakhouse is part of the family-owned Talk of the Town Restaurant Group, which also operates Texas Cattle Company and FishBones.
Charley’s currently operates restaurants in Tampa, Orlando, and Celebration. The restaurant is known for its hand-cut, dry-aged steaks, cooked over Florida citrus wood and oak, along with its upscale dining experience.
If the project moves forward, this would be the restaurant’s first location in Sarasota or Manatee County, bringing another recognizable dining destination to the growing Lakewood Ranch area.
It is important to note that this is still a reported development proposal, not an official opening announcement from Charley’s Steak House. The restaurant group has not publicly confirmed the location, and no construction timeline or opening date has been announced.
While there are still details to be worked out, seeing a recognizable restaurant brand identified in development plans is an interesting sign of what could be ahead for the area.
